Play Sweet Bonanza free, right now
The quickest way to play Sweet Bonanza is the demo on this page. Press the button, wait a few seconds while the game loads from Pragmatic Play’s demo server, and you get a play-money balance on the real 6×5 candy grid. You do not need an account, an e-mail address or a deposit, and nothing is installed on your device.
The demo is the full game, not a cut-down preview. The paytable, the tumble feature, the lollipop scatters, the free spins and the rainbow multiplier bombs all work exactly as in the real-money version. Use it to see how often the bonus really lands, how the bombs add up and how fast a balance moves at different stakes. When the play-money balance runs out, reload the page and it starts again.
- No registration: the game opens straight away.
- Same rules and maths: the demo uses the same random number generator as the paid game.
- Works on any phone: Android and iPhone browsers are enough.
- Nothing to win or lose: play money has no value.
Play Sweet Bonanza for real money in the UK
Real-money play is only safe at an online casino licensed by UK Gambling Commission. A licensed casino has to verify your age (18+), keep your money separate from its own, pay out according to its published terms and give you deposit limits and self-exclusion. If a site does not show a licence that is valid in the UK, do not deposit there — you would have nobody to complain to if it refuses to pay.

The casinos above are partners of this guide: if you sign up through these links, we may receive a commission. It never changes what we write about the game, and it costs you nothing. Before you register, open the casino’s footer and confirm the licence number, read the bonus terms, and check that Sweet Bonanza is in its lobby. Our page on where to play explains every check in detail.

How to start playing in 5 steps
- Learn the game in the demo. Play at least 100–200 spins so you know what a normal session feels like and how rare the bonus can be.
- Choose a licensed casino. Use the list above or our where to play guide, and confirm the licence yourself.
- Create and verify your account. Registration takes a few minutes; identity checks are a legal requirement. See how to sign up.
- Set your limits before the first deposit. Choose a deposit limit, a session reminder and a loss limit in the account settings — it is much easier to do this before you play.
- Open Sweet Bonanza and check the game info. Search for the game in the lobby, open the i menu and look at the RTP value. The default is about 96.48%; a lower figure means the casino runs a reduced configuration.
Free demo or real money: what changes
| Free demo | Real money | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free, play-money balance | Your own deposit |
| Account | Not needed | Registration and identity check |
| Rules, symbols, bonus | Identical | Identical |
| RTP | Usually the default, about 96.48% | Set by the casino; check the game info |
| Winnings | None — play money only | Paid out under the casino’s terms |
| Risk | None | You can lose what you deposit |
The only things the demo cannot show you are how it feels to play with your own money and which RTP version a particular casino uses. Everything else — every rule and every feature — you can learn for free.
What happens on your first spins
Each spin fills 30 positions with candies and fruit. Any symbol that lands 8 or more times anywhere on the grid wins, without paylines. Winning symbols explode and new ones fall in from above (the tumble), so one spin can pay several times in a row. Most base-game wins are small fruit clusters that return a fraction of your stake — that is normal.
The real prize is the free spins round. 4 or more lollipop scatters give 10 free spins, and during those spins rainbow bombs with values from 2× to 100× can land. At the end of each tumble sequence the bombs are added together and multiply the win. Small wins come often — the game’s own rules label it low volatility — but the bonus needs four scatters, can take well over a hundred spins, and some bonus rounds pay less than you expect. The step-by-step rules are in how to play, and the bonus maths is explained in bonus features.
Sweet Bonanza in numbers
| Provider | Pragmatic Play |

| Released | 2019 |
| Game type | Video slot |
| Grid | 6×5 · pays anywhere |
| RTP | 96.48% / 96.51% default; casinos may run lower versions |
| Volatility | Low |
| Max win | 21,100× |
| Multipliers | 2–100× |
Pragmatic Play released Sweet Bonanza in June 2019, and it has since grown into a whole family of games. The figures above come from the game’s own rules screen, which we read in the official demo on 19 October 2026. The rules also list every possible bomb value: 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 12×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50× and 100×. Small values land far more often than large ones.
Stakes start at 0.20 per spin in the official demo. The maximum depends on the casino and on local rules — review sites usually list about 100 per spin, or 125 with Ante Bet — and it is lower wherever the law caps the stake per spin. The game’s info menu at your casino always shows the actual range.
Symbols and payouts at a glance
| Symbol | 8–9 | 10–11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red heart candy | 10× | 25× | 50× |
| Purple square candy | 2.5× | 10× | 25× |
| Green pentagon candy | 2× | 5× | 15× |
| Blue oval candy | 1.5× | 2× | 12× |
| Apple | 1× | 1.5× | 10× |
| Plum | 0.8× | 1.2× | 8× |
| Watermelon | 0.5× | 1× | 5× |
| Grapes | 0.4× | 0.9× | 4× |
| Banana | 0.25× | 0.75× | 2× |
| Lollipop scatter | 4: 3× | 5: 5× | 6: 100× |
The table shows payouts as multiples of your total bet. Nine regular symbols pay when 8 or more land anywhere: the four candies pay most — 12 or more red hearts return 50× — while the five fruits pay less but land more often. The lollipop scatter pays 3×, 5× or 100× for 4, 5 or 6 and starts the free spins. The full walkthrough is in how to play.
New in 2026: Sweet Bonanza 2500
In April 2026 Pragmatic Play released Sweet Bonanza 2500. It keeps the 6×5 pay-anywhere grid and the 10 free spins, but candy bombs reach up to 2,500× and the maximum win is 25,000× the bet; the provider lists an RTP of 96.52%. Review sites also describe extra options such as two Ante Bets, Super Spins and three bonus buys — check the game info, because features vary by market. We have not tested it ourselves yet; the other games in the series are compared on the versions page.
Choose a stake your budget can carry
The single most useful decision is your stake. A good rule for a slot whose biggest wins sit in the bonus round is to keep each spin at no more than 1/200 of your session budget, so you have enough spins to reach a bonus round at all. With a budget of £100, that is a stake of around 0.50 per spin rather than £1 or more. Some countries also cap the stake per spin; the status note at the top of this page explains the rules in the UK.
Ante Bet makes every spin 25% more expensive and roughly doubles the chance of free spins; it does not make wins bigger. Bonus Buy, where it is allowed, costs 100× your bet in one go. Try both in the demo before you ever pay for them.
Play on your phone
Sweet Bonanza is built in HTML5, so it runs in any modern mobile browser, in portrait or landscape. Licensed casinos also offer their own apps in the official app stores, and Sweet Bonanza runs inside them. There is no separate “Sweet Bonanza app”, and APK files shared on social media are a common way to spread malware. Read our app guide and, if you have trouble getting into your casino account, the login guide.
Bonuses for Sweet Bonanza
Many casinos give new players free spins or a deposit bonus that can be used on Sweet Bonanza. Always read the wagering requirement, the maximum bet while wagering, the expiry date and the list of eligible games: a bonus is only worth it if you can realistically meet its terms. Our bonus guide shows how to calculate the real value of an offer.
Other Sweet Bonanza games to play
Once you know the original, you can try its relatives: Sweet Bonanza 1000 with bombs up to 1,000×, the festive Xmas edition, Super Scatter with instant scatter prizes, the 2025 hybrid Sweet Rush Bonanza and the live game show CandyLand. The versions page compares them all.
Play safely
Treat every deposit as the price of entertainment, not as an investment. Decide your budget and your time limit before you start, stop when you reach either one, and never deposit again to win back losses. Nobody can sell you a working “hack”, “signal” or “winning hour” for Sweet Bonanza — results are random and generated on the provider’s certified servers (hacks and scams). If gambling stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists where to get free help.
